We are representing an Investment Associate/Senior Associate opportunity with a boutique Investment Management Company based in the Northern Virginia area. This position will support the investment and acquisitions team in the assessment and closing on new business, while also supporting the portfolio management of current investments.

This position is newly created due to growth, will be supervised by one Managing Director and ultimately report directly to the President. Duties/Responsibilities:

· Perform all aspects of financial modeling for new and add-on investment opportunities

· Compile advisory reports, conduct financial business due diligence to make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds

· Coordinate and review any third-party financial, industry, legal, insurance, environmental, technical studies

· Prepare investment memoranda for Investment Committee

· Spread, analyze and review portfolio company performance

· Assist in portfolio company governance and ad hoc projects

· Assist in quarterly evaluations and valuations of portfolio companies

· Prepare portfolio analyses, roll-ups, and schedules

· Assist in any areas of expertise within a specific industry

Education & Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required

· Targeting 1-5 years of financial analysis experience within an Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory (Buy-Side) environment

· Advanced experience in financial modeling, discounted cash flows, valuations, etc.

· Experience performing financial due diligence and/or preparing investment thesis memos strongly desired

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

· Ability to interact with both internal and external senior management, C-suite executives, banks, equity groups, etc.
