Hard Skills:
- True HR generalist experience handling all HR matters, not on the operational side, but in-depth HR issues
- Advanced experience with Employee Relations handling investigations and complaints from start to finish.
- This is a strategic HR position, they have to be able to make decisions and do things
- Experience handling benefits (administration, process with brokers, deeper understanding of how they work, open enrollment, etc)
- Someone who understands PTO, leaves, timesheets, etc, and how they process them on the payroll and be able to address any questions
- Tech savvy and comfortable with technology
- Immigration matters experience is a nice to have.
Soft Skills:
- Independent, driven, precise
- High emotional intelligence
- Communication skills - being able to communicate at the highest level and the lowest level in the company
- Detail-oriented, follow up on tasks assigned, providing updates even if nothing happened yet
Tech Skills:
- Microsoft Office incl. Excel and PowerPoint
- HRIS experience (they use Kronos/UKG) - UKG is preferred but open
Education/Certifications/Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's in HR or Business or related field
- 4+ years as a Specialist or Generalist
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is preferred but not required
Schedule/Office Policy:
- 5 days in office in Sterling, VA
- M- F, 8- 5 pm
