    Job Summary:

    The role of Web Design Specialist involves implementing user experience (UX) and design enhancements to the website in accordance with industry standards. Working closely with the Digital Content Specialist, this position is responsible for creating new web pages and redesigning existing content within the organization's content management system (CMS). Additionally, the Web Design Specialist curates digital media assets such as photos, videos, and graphics, ensuring they align with branding guidelines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Digital Content Specialist to update or develop website pages using best practices in design and layout within the CMS.
    • Produce and optimize digital media assets (e.g., photos, videos, graphics) for dissemination across the website, email communications, and social media channels.
    • Liaise with the Manager, Marketing Analytics, and IT department to identify and execute integrations to enhance user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) on the website.
    • Enhance website visuals with branded media assets that reinforce campaign messaging and organizational objectives.
    • Maintain a cohesive visual identity across digital platforms in adherence to branding guidelines.
    • Offer expertise and recommendations on UI/UX enhancements for various web properties.
    • Ensure website accessibility and usability meet industry standards.
    • Collaborate with external consultants to test, implement, and evaluate website and CMS updates.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in digital design, graphic design, digital marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum three years of experience in web and digital content design, preferably within a professional medical society or nonprofit organization.
    • Proficiency in web content development, CMS platforms (preferably Sitecore and WordPress), content marketing, and UX/UI principles.
    • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or other graphic design tools.
    • Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and design principles.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, engage with multiple departments, and interact effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and agencies.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with project management tools, particularly Wrike, is advantageous.

    Please note this role is contract-to-hire and hybrid (3x per week in office).
