    The Director of Regulatory Affairs and Global Engagement is responsible for managing regulatory initiatives and international affairs related to environmental health and safety. This role involves identifying and prioritizing national and state-level regulatory issues, coordinating industry responses, and assessing international regulations' impact on domestic policies. The Director oversees research programs and industry committees, fostering scientifically sound positions. Additionally, they expand collaboration with international organizations and provide issue management briefings to stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • A graduate degree in environmental science, biology, engineering, or related fields.
    • Proven program and team management experience.
    • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
    • Experience collaborating with U.S.-based regulatory agencies (e.g., Environmental Protection Agency) on technical matters.
    • In-depth knowledge of human and environmental risk assessment processes.
    • Ability to work effectively with international stakeholders, technical experts, government entities, and public interest groups.
    • Demonstrated committee administration and meeting facilitation skills.
    • Strong consensus-building and negotiation abilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all aspects of environmental programs, including design, day-to-day management, report preparation, and presentation of findings in scientific forums.
    • Prepare or assist in the preparation of organizational positions, policies, briefings, and technical evaluations related to international and environmental health and safety legislation.
    • Develop tools and assessments for evaluating the environmental impact of cleaning product ingredients.
    • Provide timely technical advice and expertise on international, federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and legislation to stakeholders.
    • Develop strategies for addressing emerging environmental issues.
    • Offer technical expertise on environmental matters for organizational activities and relevant committees, professional associations, academia, public interest groups, media, and government agencies.
    • Review, analyze, and summarize scientific data and literature to formulate organizational positions on environmental issues.
    • Manage research projects and contracts for committees related to organizational concerns.
    • Provide technical leadership, manage meetings, facilitate communication, and offer administrative support for committees, workgroups, and task forces.
