    We are looking for a dynamic and talented water/wastewater/pipe engineer to fill a Project Engineer role at our fast-growing, forward thinking civil construction partner.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Project Engineer is responsible for all project controls, tracking quantities and the project's progress, ensuring cost control and reporting, scheduling, project billing, change orders, and subcontractor and supplier management. Responsible for all project involvement and oversight of mine site development and operations, including earthworks, facilities lining, piping and pumps, structural concrete and mechanical facilities. Strong communication skills, leadership, ability to problem-solve, interact with the Owner, design firms, and to lead as well as support superintendents and field personnel.

    Essential Skills & Knowledge

    • Detailed understanding of mining operations in hard rock open pit mining, crushing, processing facilities, leach pads, and tailing dam construction and operation
    • Mining planning development and bench design, drilling blasting development and optimization, haul truck production and optimization, equipment availability and utilization, and an understanding of crushing and screening operations
    • Solid understanding of financial and operational reporting
    • Ability to quantify and explain variances to owners and executives succinctly and clearly
    • Proficiency in heavy equipment fleet best practices to perform project management
    • Intelligent with demonstrated results from creativity
    • Willingness to learn what is takes to run a growing and successful services business
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skill
    • Gifted multitasker who can prioritize and balance competing initiatives and activities
    • Knack for continuous improvement of processes and outcomes
    • Organized, problem solver and solution developer, who can work with business executives
    • Believe in the power of culture with strong leadership qualities
