    We are looking for a dynamic and talented mining industry leader to fill a Process Engineer role for our fast-growing and forward-thinking client.

    Turner Staffing Group is seeking an energetic mining professional who can leverage their industry experience to take charge of the electrical and instrumentation equipment of the plant, participate in the budgeting process and control of the maintenance cost of electrical and instrumentation equipment, supervise hourly and salary personnel assigned to the department. Design and maintain the control system of the plant and execute and control projects under $500K in the plant. Analyze electrical failures finding the root cause of them, reducing or eliminating them. Actively participate in updating and improve procedures and processes to improve the business.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES    

    • Ensure existing safety devices and protections operate as per design to protect process safety, to protect the people and the product and highlight to upper management any additional needs to close gaps and reach Zero4Life.

    • Participate on safety committees, risk assessment, training, standard work, assist in developing safety programs, monitory plant operations to assist in ensuring safe job performance and optimize variable cost of environmental reagents

    • Responsible for inventory of fuels and raw materials and accuracy of reported data

    • Perform studies and audits aimed at improving equipment and plant performance, document all studies and trials to provide a history from which trends and databases can be developed, and establish action plan based on analyses of study and trial results and follow up

    • Work on the selection, evaluation, justification and execution of new capital projects, plant upgrades, and equipment installations

    • Responsible for the training and development of the Control Room Operators, Field Operators and their successors by establishing training plan Responsible for planning and execution of major outages and coordination of preventive maintenance of auxiliary equipment

    •  Ensure best practice documentation and replication by active participation in global networks

    •  Solid project management skills with ability to set priorities and complete multiple tasks in accordance with deadlines

    • Assists Project Manager/Design Engineer/Contractors with the planning, procurement and cost tracking, scheduling and construction activities by coordinating efforts of various contractors, project team members, plant personnel and internal departments

    • Review, evaluates and enforces contracts for work performed by contractors; monitors budgets, recommends changes to designs and resolves problems as they arise

    • Manipulates and summarizes process information drawing conclusions related to improvement opportunities available and strategies to realize them

    • Generates heat and material balance data on various devices and systems necessary to critique process and equipment changes Provides technical assistance to operating personnel during the start-up phase of the project

    • To ensure that all new equipment handovers come with operation guides, troubleshooting guides and any relevant standard works Adhere to OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

    • 5 years progressive experience within the heavy industrial manufacturing industry Previous cement process experience is a plus
    • Previous continuous process, bulk-material handling operation experience may also be considered beneficial
    • Must possess at least a basic understanding of raw geologic materials (i.e., limestone, clay, sand, iron ore etc.), a basic understanding of their chemical composition, and a familiarity with the crushing, grinding, blending, kiln processing, cooling, and conveyance (i.e., belts, stackers, pneumatics) of those materials
    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related major
    • 5 years of progressive experience within the heavy industrial manufacturing industry
    • Previous cement process experience is a plus. Previous continuous process, bulk-material handling operation experience may also be considered beneficial
