Turner Staffing Group is seeking an energetic mining professional who can leverage their mining knowledge to expand upon our fast-growing business, creating best practices for project management and scalable business processes to ensure profitable operations. This person will function as a Geologist, evaluating composition, structure and other physical attributes of the site, and coordinating with field and office teams.

Leadership and an ability to problem solve while ensuring mining operations remain on budget and ahead of schedule. This is an opportunity to work as part of the technical leadership team in a fast-paced and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Use physics, mathematics, and geological knowledge in exploration and evaluation of site attributes
• Project controls, tracking model progress & creating/updating appropriate mining models
• Cost control & reporting, scheduling, owner billing, change orders, subcontractor & supplier management
• Working directly with field and office leadership
• Work in all aspects of the mine life, focused primarily on exploration, design, ore quality, and environmental impacts
• Regular site activities, following and complying with all MSHA regulations
• Implementation of company guidelines and safety policy as well as meeting with clients to address project needs
• Working with the engineering team in preparation of plans, designs, resources evaluations, and schedules

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a diverse background and experience in the mining and/or extraction industry. Must have exposure in mining projects, site work, modeling, amongst others. A degree in geology is preferred. The position requires ability to travel and relocate as necessary. Knowledge of computers & software is essential.

Daily Compensation Range: $350-$450/day
