    A Leader’s Scope 

    The Talent Acquisition Manager’s responsibilities are broad and strategic, as well as managerial and tactical. Reporting to the COO, this role will require an intentional and consultative leader to operations. Focused on ensuring that Turner Mining Group’s hiring practices support our organization’s mission, vision, and culture. The Talent Acquisition Manager will manage recruiting, interviewing, applicant tracking, offer letters, and new hire support that will impact nationwide operations.

    With the goal of sustaining an engaged workforce, the Talent Acquisition Manager oversees and provides best practice candidate management and consistency. The ideal candidate will have the following personal and professional characteristics:

The Talent Acquisition Manager must have both general knowledge of the principles and best practices of managing high volume hiring as well as strategic and tactical hires.

    This dynamic individual will have the ability to understand and deal with complex searches and creatively overcome obstacles to achieve organizational hiring goals. The Talent Acquisition Manager will have the ability to be given hiring projects and make results happen with a strong attention to detail, a high ability to communicate, and a deep understanding of managing candidate processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead operations and corporate hiring to support Turner Mining Group’s grow, maintaining an interview process of top tier integrity, drive, and compliance.
    • Ability to create pipelines to support operation’s needs, partner with candidates, recruitment
    • Develop and facilitate the recruitment process of people strategy and annual planning, in alignment with Turner Mining’s vision and goals; and managing the preparation of the People resource requirements
    • Holistic understanding of Turner Mining’s goals and with a collaborative approach, recommends, designs, implements and evaluates organizational initiatives to maximize recruitment achievements
    • Tactical approach to efficiently and effectively achieve company-wide goals, including specific organizational development goals each year.
    • Oversee the Applicant Tracking System, building pipelines, keeping a close connection to individuals interested in a career Turner Mining Group.
    • Partner with Operations leadership and Field leadership on empowering supervisors to employ various recruiting techniques including eagle eye sourcing, teambuilding, employee development, roles and responsibility, developing job descriptions, individual accountability, resource planning, and talent evaluation.
    • Partner with human resources to ensure compliance, technical support, and company training to assist.
    • Assist team leaders and managers in developing strategic staffing and development plans for their portion of the organization
    • Relaying KPIs to company managers and assisting with any performance issues.
    • Review and research compensation at a minimum of annually, obtaining approval from the Executive Team; to include compensation benchmarking, market adjustments, promotions, role evaluations, role analysis, and organizational planning.
    • Eagerness and hunger to gain knowledge and understanding of the mining & heavy civil industry and projects to effectively match talent to operation’s needs.
