    Job Description

    The Project Finance Advisor is responsible for the financial/commercial management of key client accounts within our US Energy & Natural Resources division. The Project Finance Advisor will own and operate a financial management process that ensures that both internal teams and external client needs are met. The Project Finance Advisor will be the main point of contact for all Finance related queries on specific key client accounts.

    Key Client Account Responsibilities:

    • Set up and maintain contract / projects on the Financial Management System – Dynamics (charge rates, project forecasts, forecast spread).
    • Maintaining up to date data (opportunities, forecasts, invoicing, POs) within Dynamics 365.
    • Responsible for the monthly invoices and billing reports on key accounts.
    • Management and collation of client timesheets to support invoicing.
    • Responsible for the monthly finance report to the external client.
    • Management of Intercompany agreements, Intercompany Purchase Orders, Sub-Contractor PO’s and Intracompany agreements.
    • Management of 1099 contractor costs.
    • Monthly reviews of debt position and support to credit control team.
    • Support leadership team with bids/tenders in relation to commercial calculations and reviews.

    General Finance Responsibilities:

    • Support to the leadership team for the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and project margin reviews.
    • Support leadership with end of month invoicing, accruals and reconciliations, providing them with timely, accurate and intuitive reports to drive critical actions.
    • Explain invoiced values against forecast values and budget variances across all accounts, liaising with Project Managers for comments.
    • Reviewing and analysing utilisation data from Dynamics 365 in order to support reporting to central finance.
    • First point of contact for financial queries from operational staff.
    • Provision of data for reports and audits as requested.
    • Support leadership teams in providing Finance related messages and confidence to the business.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within project accounting/cost control or finance based roles, preferably 5 years +.
    • Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and management
    • Experienced in using financial management systems and reports.

    Skills

    • Quantitative skills – understanding and manipulating numbers and data.
    • Strong Excel Skills (including Sumif, Vlookup, Pivotables and Graphs).
    • Working knowledge of D365 preferable but not essential.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong organisation and time management.
    • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
    • Flexible and responsive attitude.
    • Working knowledge of PowerBi preferable but not essential.
