    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • HR Manager will solve people challenges in a metal stamping operations plant with creative thinking
    • Participate with the Director HR and VP HR and the plant leadership teams in the formulation and implementation of business growth and people strategies
    • Establish, build and maintain good employee relationships on the plant floor for a shift operation
    • Lead recruiting efforts to ensure positions are filled. Work with outside recruiting firms and coordinate interviewing and selection process.
    • Manage necessary Human Resources Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within the function
    • Provide leadership and coordination in the development, selection, and implementation of effective recruitment (salaried & hourly positions) that meets organizational change and growth requirements
    • Retain and develop the right talent and capabilities; develop and implement proactive and innovative talent management solutions
    • Drive a mindset and culture of health & safety
    • Partner with Director HR, VPHR and Regional Health & Safety Manager to drive improvements in Health & Safety
    • Understand key drivers and challenges of the business to provide specific coaching to managers while using business knowledge, trend reporting and data to provide effective solutions which align with business goals
    • Coach, challenge and support managers in their role on people development and organizational related processes
    • Influence and effectively convey information through clear and consistent communication

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Equivalent of 5 years of Human Resources experience, including experience leading Human Resources in a small GIT manufacturing plant environment - non-union 
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR policies and processes
    • HR Management Plant start-up experience highly desirable
    • Ability to balance both strategic and functional / tactical priorities
    • Must be a strategic, creative, and critical thinker with confidence and speed in execution
    • Must have the ability to interact at all levels of the company

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field required
