    Program Manager - Metal Stamping BIW

    Global, Tier 1 Automotive Stamping Supplier is seeking a Program Manager with automotive metals stamping background for Direct Hire.

    This individual will need to have recent experience working with OEMs as the customer.

    Hiring Company is a Tier 1, full-service supplier that provides metal stamping, modular weld assemblies, BIW structures and components to international automotive manufacturers. The company’s core competencies include technical development, design, program management, forming, joining, and surface treatment. For this role they are looking for strong new program launch experience and experience managing a phased-gate process. They are also looking for specific industry knowledge of structural automotive components and stamping/assembly.

    Full time position with salary + bonus + full benefits plan.

    Representative Responsibilities:

    • Manage all activities related to New Product Development for OEM programs.
    • Assist as needed in activities related to management of Acquisition or Running Production programs including by not limited to:
      • Creation of reports utilizing the CIM Database information and compiling data to support and communicate program activity
      • Moderate Level 2 meetings with Program Teams to ensure proper attendance, communication/tracking of open tasks, and facilitate follow-up with the Engineering Manager(s) and Program Manager(s) for all follow-up activities and open items
      • Track status and timing for all profitability improvement activities, monitor Program Team activity to achieve stated profit improvement goals, and communicate and report status monthly to Senior Leadership Team.
    • Provide status reports in a timely manner as required by Management.
    • Participate in reviews regarding product concept and design.
    • Work co-operatively within assigned customer team(s) to solve problems.
    • Participate in regular discussions with internal customers on relevant topics.
    • Support Launch activities at the Manufacturing Plant location as required.
    • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement and TS 16949.
    • Maintain positive employee relations and address issues in timely manner. Seek advice/counsel from appropriate sources as required.
    • Establish/maintain relationships with team members, customers, management, and vendors/suppliers.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Must have  5+ years of Program Management experience in the automotive industry, specifically in BIW Metals Stamping and Welding. 
      • Must have managed programs for OEMs as the customer
      • Firm understanding of core manufacturing processes (stamping, welding, assembly).
      • Thorough understanding of TS 16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
      • Familiar with IT and software programs that deal with relevant engineering functions - PLM System.
      • Strong communication skills and leading without authority
      • Knowledge of customer schedule and deliverables
