    Responsibilities

    • Oversee financial planning and analysis and operations for the company, providing financial insight to top level management. This includes but is not limited to cost accounting, inventory control, inter-company transactions, financial statement preparation, year-end external audit, tax and information returns, reconciliations, analysis and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
    • Provide guidance on financial decisions to improve efficiency and control expenditures.
    • Oversee including all A/R, A/P, and payroll operations. Set goals, objectives, and expectations.
    • Monitors weekly and monthly manufacturing activity, develops metrics and reports.
    • Direct the preparation of, verifies and analyzes the monthly balance sheet, income statements and financial statements and forecasts.
    • Support month-end and year-end close process.
    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
    • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
    • Develops and pushes continuous improvement deployment to lower costs or increase productivity in products, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided.
    • Collaborates with other departments to control, monitor and reduce inventory throughout the monthly inventory reconciliation processes.
    • Understands cost flow, collects data, and establishes standard costs.
    • Directs the compilation of financial information, inventory valuation and profit data. This includes analyzing and developing cost rates and departmental budgets.
    • Manage all cash activities, bank and credit accounts.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have automotive manufacturing experience.
    • Strong accounting background with minimum 5 years accounting and finance experience
    • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
    • Experience with creating financial statements
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
    • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting Required
    • CPA or CMA designation preferred.
