Turning Point USA is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to educating students about the importance of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government. __ABOUT THE POSITION:​ TPUSA's Production Department is looking to hire a talented script writer. The ideal candidate will embody TPUSA's culture points of grassroots humility, warrior spirit, and persistent innovation. The person who fills this position will be responsible for executing the following duties as well as additionally assigned tasks:

• Responsible for collaborating with producers to develop script ideas and conduct the necessary research and writing for TPUSA Productions in television and video style
• Participate in the creative process of building out new shows
• Be well versed in all relevant news topics and provide topics for original TPUSA shows
• Have the ability to write a wide variety of scripts (humorous, serious, informative, persuasive, etc.) all in an entertaining manner
• Understand the TPUSA audience and write scripts that will resonate with them
• Fact-checking scripts and copy produced by other team members
• Assist administrators and editors with various additional duties

“WOW!” SKILLS

• Degree in english, journalism, or creative writing (however, please note that skill rather than education level will be considered for this position)
• Past/present involvement in conservative youth organizations
• Previous experience in a script writing position 
• Familiarity with AirTable, and other communication platforms

WRITING SAMPLE (SUBMISSIONS WITH NO SAMPLE WILL BE REJECTED).

_In order for your application to be considered, please include two separate 60-90 second scripts depicting the horrors of socialism. The first script should written for talent to read at camera. For the second script, you have creative liberty. It can be funny or serious, a skit or television segment - the choice is yours. Your application will be rejected if it does not meet these requirements. _
