Pay rate is $15/hour.
Must be able to obtain a federal government Public Trust clearance
The Logistics Handler is responsible for receiving, storage and distributing of wireless assets (telephones & peripherals) inventory to and from the department. This involves physical handling of inventory, as well as maintaining accurate system records for all transactions made to and from the department.
- Receive materials, client samples and internal finished goods on a daily basis. Check and process received items in line with appropriate quality procedures (physical / quantity check and paperwork verification)
- Provide traceability through maintenance of accurate system transactions (Internal TurningPoint inventory management system)
- Support operations with timely provision of materials by discrete requisition issue and delivery if required
- Maintain stock accuracy at all times through timely system maintenance such as participation in physical counting and routine disposal program
- Prepare and ship materials in line with client requirements and in accordance with relevant shipping SOP documentation. Shipping includes collation of appropriate documentation and coordination with any specialist shipping organizations
- Equipment monitoring/maintenance where under the specific responsibility of the department
- Support improvement initiatives as agreed with line management with a view to streamlining processes, making cost savings and reducing waste
- Communicate and interact professionally with all levels of the organization
- Require general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments
- Perform tasks in accordance with SOPs
- Comply with company health and safety regulations and procedures
- Perform and support inter-site shipment of sample/material via internal transportation or courier
- Perform other duties as assigned
