Job Description TEAM DESCRIPTION: Our Platform Team focuses on building shared microservices in Java at Turnitin. We support/partner with customer-facing application teams to achieve a uniform SaaS service model for the business. The team culture is collaborative and friendly. Our team includes a diverse mix of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We value diversity in background and thought and know it is crucial to the success of our team. We are looking for someone who is curious, willing to learn and eager to work on problem solving.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AND ACHIEVE: Platform level microservice maintenance, refactoring, bug fixing, data migration. (It’s hard to pin down the details now given the constant and frequent project changes.) Will have a senior developer guide this person through the tasks.
Qualifications
Current US undergraduate student who will graduate by June 2022
Junior / Senior in CS / Math major
Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming
Knowledge in Relational Database Systems
Systemic thinking
Open-mindedness in problem solving
