Position Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) is a pivotal role within our project team, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects by overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion. This includes ensuring projects meet safety, environmental, cost, cash flow, milestone, quality, specification, and legal compliance requirements. The PM will manage relationships with clients, government officials, subcontractors, vendors, team members, and senior management to guarantee project success, client satisfaction, and future business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management: Lead project personnel to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specifications while adhering to safety standards.
Project Performance: Monitor project progress through Job Status Reports, adjusting plans and schedules as necessary. Facilitate weekly project scheduling, budgeting, and planning meetings. Compile and present project reports to stakeholders.
Problem Resolution: Offer technical guidance to the project team, addressing challenges with stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Project Finances: Manage billing and payment schedules to maintain positive cash flow and comply with contractual terms. Analyze project costs and provide financial forecasts to senior management.
Project Controls: Oversee the creation and approval of purchase orders, RFIs, and change orders. Ensure vendor and subcontractor compliance with contracts and purchase orders. Manage documentation and transactions, conduct safety and quality audits, and ensure accurate and timely payments.
Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance client satisfaction through effective negotiation and conflict resolution. Ensure project outcomes meet client expectations for quality, timeliness, and safety.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, or a related field, plus five years of relevant experience in hospitality, millwork, or interior finishes, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to set goals, delegate, and ensure accountability. Experience in enhancing team efficiency, quality, and safety.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of interior finishes, hospitality interior design, FF&E, logistics, and installation processes. Ability to understand and interpret various documents and manuals, with strong attention to detail.
