TURQUOISE PLACE SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK
Job Description:
The Shipping and Receiving clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing to quality and productivity standards.
Job Duties:
Receives and inspects incoming shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages.
Counts items to ensure that the correct number has been received.
Maintains department database, prepares routine reports, and files shipping/receiving records.
Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of packages
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Traces lost shipments and/or guest claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
Determines storage areas for incoming shipments and allocates appropriate space within the storage area.
Assists in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervises storage activities.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage areas
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
Must have basic computer skills that include Microsoft Word, Excel and the ability to learn new programs.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be self-motivated to handle guest, owner or team members.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work at a computer for majority of shift and be able to walk/stand during shift as needed
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
Must be able to climb/stand on a ladder or step stool as needed
