DUTIES:

Perform Mechanical, Hydraulic, & Electrical inspections, diagnostics, and repairs

Perform established maintenance practices/procedures

Respond to and conduct vehicle field recovery/repairs

Conduct Scheduled and Unscheduled maintenance and services

Maintain maintenance/service records of fleet vehicles

Maintain records and parts inventory

Maintain tools/equipment in proper order and good condition

Maintain clean and safe work area/environment

Conduct work to meet safety protections and precautions to mitigate accidents and injuries

Handle, Store, and Dispose of P.O.L. products meeting safety standards

Work in various weather conditions

SKILLS – Technical:

Sheet-metal/Body Work (Knowledge/Inspection/Repairs) - Intermediate

Electrical Systems (Knowledge/Inspection/Repairs) – Intermediate

Diesel Engine Knowledge/Inspection/Repairs – Proficient

Vehicle Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Methods - Proficient

Aptitude in utilizing various tools and precision instruments – ProficientBrake Systems (Knowledge/Inspection/Repairs) – Advanced

Physical Strength and Stamina (ability to lift, move, carry up to 50lbs unassisted – Required

EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience as a Diesel/Auto Mechanic – Required

Proven experience on Brake Systems - Required

4-5 Years of verifiable fleet mechanic/technician – Required

Experience in electrical repair – Preferred

Working knowledge in auto body & sheet-metal repair – Preferred

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma/GED

QUALIFICATIONS:

Vocational Training – Gas/Diesel – Preferred

Valid Certifications – Preferred

Meet qualifications as outlined in Section 391 of the FMCSR /Federal Annual Inspections – Required

Valid Class C Driver’s License – Required

Able to obtain a DOT Medical Card
