Our client is a global entertainment and gaming company, and they are seeking someone with a background in game development for a unique opportunity working with a state-of-the-art, multi-platform game development engine. In this position, you would be responsible for migrating features and systems into one of the most powerful bleeding-edge gaming engines on the globe to ensure that they are testable. This is the behind-the-scenes of gaming, so it doesn’t warrant the long hours or crunch of a typical software engineer working in the gaming industry.

This exciting role requires an experienced software engineer competent in one or multiple domains that include rendering, systems, animation, etc. You will have many unique and exciting opportunities to work on the front lines, which offers you further growth and professional development experience.

What you will be doing

• Migrate complex features and systems into a large game engine, to make sure they are performing and testable
• Collaborate closely with other engineers and project managers to hit key objectives and goals
• Provide expertise & guidance on how to improve and fully leverage game engine features and advantages
• Implement best practices to promote innovation               

You are a great candidate if you have…

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Math or related field
• Comprehensive knowledge with C++ programming
• Professional experience in at least one of the following fields – Rendering, Systems, Animation
• Experience on current gaming platforms
• Ability to test, debug, and work with existing code
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Perforce experience preferred
