Qualifications and Skills

Desired Qualifications

Expert knowledge in high school sciences such as biology, chemistry and/or physics

2+ years of tutoring, teaching or mentoring experience (Teaching certification is a plus, as is ISD experience.)

College degree in the subject in which you tutor and/or currently pursuing a degree

Excellent interpersonal skills

True desire to help students succeed.

Reliable transportation

Willingness to travel up to 15 minutes to assignments

We are looking for tutors with expertise in one or all of the following subjects:

Science (all high school levels).

Biology

Chemistry

Physics

AP sciences

As a Tutor Doctor tutor, you will tutor students in their pre-screened homes. Most tutoring takes place after typical school hours and/or weekends. You will be able to choose your schedule. There is no minimum or maximum number of students we require you to take.

Please know that our families tutor for the long-term and we are looking for tutors that will fulfill their obligations. If you are interested in short-term or over the summer assignments, please note so in the comments section so that we can align your availability with a families need.
