ENTHUSIASTIC MATH & SCIENCE TUTOR:

This position is not only for Summer session; candidates are expected to continue in the Fall

The Job: We are seeking enthusiastic instructors who specialize in tutoring K-12 Math subjects. Proficiency with topics covered in a typical high-school advanced Calculus course is required as well as all prerequisites (Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Geometry etc.). Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum for most Math subjects so tutors will not need to plan any lessons in advance. Each tutor will be seated at his/her own individual table with up to three students per session (no roaming from table to table).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coaching and guiding students to meet their academic goals

Strengthening students’ study habits and identifying how each student learns best

Working with up to three students at a time

Being engaging, nimble, and professional

Keeping detailed records of tutoring sessions

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (or currently enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor’s degree)

1+ years of previous tutoring experience (previous teaching experience is not required, but is a plus)

Reliable transportation

Ability to work three to five days/week
