LA Tutors 123 is a premier, in-home and online private tutoring service provider in the greater Los Angeles area. Founded in 2007 by a team of educators with decades of experience, LA Tutors 123 was created with the vision of providing unparalleled one-on-one instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs. We specialize in academic tutoring and standardized test prep (ISEE, SAT, ACT, etc.)—with a focus on delivering high-impact, personalized learning experiences both in person and online.
Position Overview:
The Program Director will manage and grow tutoring programs for K–12 academic subjects and standardized tests (e.g., ISEE, SAT, ACT). This includes client communication, tutor supervision, internal reporting, and general program oversight. You'll work closely with the Executive Director and instructor teams to ensure each student receives an excellent experience tailored to their individual needs.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of our Beverly Hills location. The core work hours are Monday through Friday. However, there may be a need to work from home on weekends to address urgent client or scheduling needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct consultative calls with prospective families and make customized program recommendations
Assign appropriate tutors based on subject, student personality, and availability
Manage tutor-client relationships, provide ongoing support, and troubleshoot when necessary
Track and review tutor session notes; proofread and approve all session reports to ensure quality and accuracy
Manage and interpret diagnostic test data; prepare and send score reports for standardized assessments
Communicate with partner schools and educational consultants as needed
Monitor student progress and proactively recommend adjustments to tutoring plans
Support with internal projects, seasonal enrollment tracking, and scheduling
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Prior experience in tutoring, K-12 test prep, or an education company strongly preferred
High comfort level with, and interest in, college admission testing subject matter
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Willing to embrace a challenging learning curve and open to the possibility of a long-term role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Salesforce is a plus
Comfortable working in a collaborative, in-office environment
