    JOB SUMMARY

    2DOT is recruiting for an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist. As a member of our team, you will provide technical support on a variety of projects. This role consists primarily of fieldwork for locations throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Candidates must be able to manage time and work independently under the direction of Project Managers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform site inspections for stormwater compliance including evaluating control measures and stabilization evaluations
    • Perform site inspections for Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan compliance including quarterly and annual inspections
    • Conduct environmental assessments that include wildlife, raptor, and vegetation surveys
    • Conduct minor stormwater control measure repairs as needed
    • Conduct groundwater monitoring sampling
    • Perform construction monitoring and compliance services in conjunction with project development
    • Compile stormwater and SPCC inspection reports
    • Conduct Site Facility Diagram (SFD) site visits and collect data for compliance with BLM requirements
    • Assist with drafting stormwater, SPCC, and SFD drawings in Visio format

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Familiar with CO and WY stormwater permitting regulations
    • Familiar with SPCC regulation requirements
    • Familiar with CO and WY wildlife and vegetation
    • Willingness to cross-train in a variety of environmental consulting tasks
    • Good communication skills
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Strong MS Word and Excel skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Detail-oriented
    • Experience with drawing site diagrams in Visio or other programs preferred

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field
    • Minimum of 1-year experience
    • Must have a valid Colorado or Wyoming driver's license and a clean driving record

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to traverse various types of terrain for extended periods
    • Physical ability to perform outdoor fieldwork
    • Ability to lift/carry up to 35-40 lbs.
    • Withstand long periods of walking, standing, sitting, and crouching during fieldwork

    Pay range is $16-20/hour depending on experience.
