    TITLE: CLINICAL DATA ANALYST

    LOCATION: WESTMINSTER, CO

    JOB TYPE: FULL TIME (PERMANENT WITH OUR CLIENT)

    SALARY: BASE + BENEFITS REQUIREMENTS

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • PLANS, CONDUCTS, AND DIRECTS THE ANALYSIS OF BUSINESS PROBLEMS.
    • PRIMARILY WORKS WITH CLINICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE DATA (MEDICAL AND PHARMACY CLAIMS) TO SUPPORT BUSINESS RESEARCH AND FINANCIAL RECONCILIATIONS.
    • PARTNERS WITH USERS TO IDENTIFY, EVALUATE, AND DEVELOP SOLUTIONS AND PROCEDURES WHICH ARE COST EFFECTIVE AND MEET USER REQUIREMENTS.
    • MAY LEAD CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LINKED TEAMS TO ADDRESS BUSINESS OR SYSTEMS ISSUES.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Requirements are a strong knowledge of healthcare (payer) data and healthcare (payer) industry,
    • SQL/SAS, Data Science and Modeling both predictive such as for risk management and health economics such as determining program RoI, and analytics.
    • Must be passionate, have a creative mind-set, and be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Work experience at payer organizations preferred.
    • At least 10+ years of experience in healthcare;
    • 10+ in SQL/SAS, Data Science and Modeling.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Advanced level experience in business and statistical analysis

    • Advanced level experience with healthcare payer data

    • Basic knowledge of SAS

    • Basic knowledge of business and statistical analysis

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be researched and obtained
    • Exercises judgement within defined standards and guidelines
    • Works with other clinical data analysts and actuaries
    • Collaborates with other clinical data analysts and actuaries to propose solutions
    • Receives objectives in the form of very specific tasks from manager but must also be a self-starter and independent thinker
    • Follows standard practices and procedures and works on projects of minimally complex nature
    • Regular, reliable attendance and timeliness

    EDUCATION:

    • 4-YEAR DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE/STATISTICS/MATHEMATICS OR RELATED FIELD OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
    • Once on board, will be expected to pursue both base and advanced SAS Certifications
