    Job Description

    1. Employee Wellness – 60%
    • Maximize employee productivity by cultivating trusting relationships that support accurate assessment of workforce well-being.
    • Provide nursing care to injured or ill associates (work-related and non-work-related).
    • Assiduously treat all on‑the‑job injuries and schedule follow‑up care as needed.
    • Educate employees regarding diagnoses, treatment expectations, and prevention strategies.
    • Decrease disability claims, on‑the‑job injuries, and absenteeism through proactive engagement and early intervention.
    • Perform health audits, wellness assessments, and Similar Exposure Group (SEG) testing to meet OSHA and government regulations.
    • Conduct annual hearing tests and manage random drug screens.
    • Provide preventative health services including early detection, education, counseling, and triage into the appropriate healthcare system.
    • Engage with workforce members to support personal medical needs and overall well-being.
    1. Records Management – 20%
    • Partner with Human Resources to ensure accurate and timely onboarding by creating and maintaining all medical records and profiles.
    • Review and support case management for Workers’ Compensation Claims, FMLA cases, medical claims and EAP utilization.
    • Chart and log all incident investigations, medical findings, treatments, and SEG results in both employee files and Cority.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical documentation and interactions.
    • Perform regular inspections of AEDs, trauma bags, first‑aid kits, and nursing‑related PPE, and accurately record all findings.
    • Provide statistical data weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually (injuries, first-aid usage, referrals, etc.).
    • Ensure first-aid supplies are consistently stocked and compliant.
    1. Health & Wellness Strategy – 10%
    • Assess medical surveillance needs and develop, implement, and monitor onsite wellness programs that enhance employee health.
    • Cultivate collaborative relationships to effectively schedule and perform all SEG testing.
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute wellness programs, health screenings, and immunization clinics (Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Influenza, etc.).
    • Coordinate and support care services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, specialist referrals, and return‑to‑work processes.
    • Organize and conduct mock codes and PEO triage training to enhance medical readiness across the organization.
    • Serve as an educational resource on personal health issues and wellness best practices.
    1. Advisory – 10%
    • Assist Safety and supervisory teams with risk assessments and injury prevention strategies.
    • Work closely with the Benefits Specialist to coordinate wellness campaigns and health promotion activities.
    • Advise employees on wellness standards and tactfully support supervisors in upholding those standards.
    • Serve as a medical advisor to various committees including MRT (providing CPR training), Ergonomics, PEO, VPP, and Wellness.
    • Coordinate required training such as CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, AED use, and other safety‑related topics.
    • Provide return‑to‑work support following injuries, illnesses, or leaves of absence.
    1. General Clinical Responsibilities
    • Provide onsite treatment for specific injuries or illnesses under the direction of Dr. Galligos (Mercy Occupational Medicine).
    • Coordinate alternative care options when onsite treatment is not appropriate.
    • Conduct patient triage, evaluation, and referral into the broader healthcare system as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    1. LPN with 3-5 years of practical nursing experience and active Missouri Nursing License is required.
    2. Preferred RN degree and active Missouri Nursing License plus 1 to 3 years of practical nursing experience. Previous experience working in an industrial setting preferred.
    3. Microsoft Office Suites & SharePoint knowledge a plus.
    4. Strong written, organization and verbal communication skills.
    5. Record Management experience.
    6. Cority & OSHA regulations/documentation process knowledge a plus.
    7. Experience with clinical first aid treatments.
