    EVENT COORDINATOR ROLE OVERVIEW

    Tyton Partners is seeking a talented, team-oriented Event Coordinator to join our Marketing and Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a “go-getter” mentality. As the Event Coordinator, your objective will be to manage Tyton Partners' event strategy and planning to fuel our brand awareness and lead generation within the Education market. You will be responsible for end-to-end event management for both internal and external events, including owning our events calendar, planning Tyton specific events (including happy hours, dinners, regional workshops, and more), managing tradeshows and conferences, supporting speaking proposal submissions, coordinating event details cross-functionally within the company, organizing delivery of marketing collateral and swag; and assisting the Marketing and Business Development team with optimizing event reporting and insights.

    You will be a core member of the small but growing Marketing and Business Development team and work closely with senior business development executives, who will serve as mentors and help guide strategy and tactical execution of our event strategy. This position will partner with the Marketing team to ensure that messaging and overall event experiences support our overarching brand values and positioning.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages all aspects of events strategy and planning, including:
      • Facilitating site selection, program development, vendor contract negotiations, speaker management, logistics, message coordination, budget management, and all other aspects of event production
      • Owning conference and tradeshow logistics including:
        • Maintaining the conference calendar; coordinating staff attendance; handling conference registration, mailing lists, and sponsor benefits; ordering and organizing delivery of marketing collateral and swag; organizing related sales dinners and happy hours
    • Coordinate project management and execution of happy hours, dinners, and regional workshops to support marketing and business development growth goals
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders (executives, marketing and business development leaders) to establish event goals to drive revenue
    • Serve as a core team member for the planning of the annual Friends of Tyton Partners Summit
    • Ensure that messaging and overall event experiences support Tyton Partners' brand values and positioning
    • Support Business Development operations with data and reporting for events, driving visibility into the pipeline build and commercial impact of events
    • Ensure post-event follow up (lead hand-offs, reporting and analysis, and post-mortem documentation)
    • Manage our external vendor relationships (e.g., conference coordinators, event services groups, hotels and restaurants) with poise, confidence, and professionalism
    • Stay up to date about Tyton Partners active and past projects and capabilities to fully explain services to prospects
    • Be committed and curious to stay current with the evolving global education sector
    • Contribute to broadening Marketing and Business Development team initiatives 
      • Support internal event planning/management, partnering with Office Manager and Executive Assistants and other Consulting team members to execute Consulting team-wide events and firm-wide events/retreats

    Please note that this role (Events Coordinator) will work Tyton Partner's Strategy Consulting practice (as a core member of the Business Development and Marketing Team) but frequently liaise with the Investment Banking group practice to coordinate firm-wide events.

    You will be a core member of the small but growing Marketing and Business Development team and engage with two groups in the firm: the senior business development team and segment-specific business development teams. Partnering with the senior business development team in the strategy consulting practice (~6 senior professionals), you will be focused on prospecting, booking meetings, and filling the senior team's pipelines. You will also partner with the Tyton's five business development teams to support efforts to expand business in specific segments of the education market, particularly efforts to launch targeted campaigns, including list building, identifying engagement strategies, engaging in outreach, and follow-up.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3-5 years of professional marketing and/or events experience
    • Demonstrated organizational skills with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Prior project management experience is required
    • Familiarity and experience with principles of marketing/PR/events is preferred
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, especially ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including staff at remote locations
    • Natural orientation towards being proactive and results-oriented
    • Adaptable to changing priorities and requests
    • Upbeat personality, positive attitude, and ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

    NICE-TO-HAVES:

    • Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) software; ideally HubSpot
    • Experience working at a professional services firm; particularly within strategy consulting
    • Knowledge/experience of the education sector
    • Experience working cross-functionally with varying levels of leadership within an organization or company
