    Business Development Representative (BDR) Role

    Tyton Partners is seeking a talented, team-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Marketing and Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a “go-getter” mentality. As a BDR, your objective will be expanding Tyton Partners' client base across five specific segments of the education market (K-12, higher education, corporate/ workforce development, impact investors/ philanthropy). You will specifically be focused on developing greenfield opportunities for the practice, including researching, prospecting, vetting, and devising the best approach to execute customized and meaningful engagement.

    You will be a core member of the small but growing Marketing and Business Development team and work closely with senior business development executives, who will serve as mentors and help guide strategy and tactical execution of strategic business development plans. This position will partner with senior business development executives to support prospecting and establish strategic meetings with the goal of generating pipeline. You will also partner with the Tyton Partners' business development teams to support efforts to expand business across the global education sector, including launching targeted campaigns, list building, identifying outreach strategies, engaging in communication, and follow-up.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Prospect and identify potential companies, contacts, and leads for strategic consulting opportunities
    • Research and understand various lines of business and personas
    • Vet and qualify inbound and outbound leads
    • Book meetings for the firm's Senior Business Development team
    • Support senior business development team in preparing for pitches, including building new business presentations, and researching prospects
    • Partner with the business development teams to implement focused campaigns leveraging the firm's content marketing and thought leadership
    • Support managing the Tyton Partners' CRM database (HubSpot), with a particular focus on data integrity and quality
    • Assist in the development of sales and marketing collateral including pitch decks, new business presentations, and statements of work
    • Stay up to date about Tyton Partners active and past projects and capabilities to fully explain services to prospects
    • Be committed and curious to stay current with the evolving global education sector
    • Contribute to broadening Marketing and Business Development team initiatives

    You will be a core member of the small but growing Marketing and Business Development team and engage with two groups in the firm: the senior business development team and segment-specific business development teams. Partnering with the senior business development team in the strategy consulting practice (~6 senior professionals), you will be focused on prospecting, booking meetings, and filling the senior team's pipelines. You will also partner with the Tyton's five business development teams to support efforts to expand business in specific segments of the education market, particularly efforts to launch targeted campaigns, including list building, identifying engagement strategies, engaging in outreach, and follow-up. **

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 1-3 years of professional sales experience
    • Ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement effective sales strategies
    • Strong and demonstrated interest in the education sector
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong interpersonal skills, especially ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including staff at remote locations
    • Natural orientation towards being proactive and results-oriented
    • High level of integrity and dependability
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Adaptable to changing priorities and requests
    • Team-oriented and promotes and coordinates collaboration

    Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience cold calling and emailing companies for greenfield or whitespace opportunities
    • Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) software; ideally HubSpot
    • Experience working at a professional services firm; particularly within strategy consulting
    • Knowledge/experience of the education sector
    • Experience working cross-functionally with varying levels of leadership within an organization or company
