    LINE CONDUCTOR (SHIFT SUPERVISOR)

    JOB PROFILE:

    Plan and supervise the production line in accordance with the directives of U.form’s production system.  Provide leadership and direction for the activities of the assigned production crew to safely achieve production goals within quality and cost standards.  Train and hold production workers accountable for meeting all established standards. Develop effective teamwork and utilizes innovation to achieve production goals and other assigned duties.  Work in a manufacturing facility with limited HVAC, concrete floors, stairs and ladders with exposure to industrial noise, dust and heat.  This position reports to the Plant Production Manager. 

     PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment and the safety management of assigned employees
    • Ensure product meets the established standards of production
    • Analyze procedures and production techniques and propose improvements that increase productivity
    • Responsible for supervising and training employees in stamping facility
    • Ability to follow production schedule and make adjustments as necessary
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Must be physically able to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop and climb as well as lift 75 pounds
    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a shift supervisor role in a manufacturing environment required
    • Five (5) years of experience in the metal stamping industry highly preferred
    • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent in addition to experience that gives a working knowledge of practices, procedures and operations of a metal stamping manufacturing facility. An Associate Degree or Technical Diploma is preferred.
    • May be required to attend an extended multi-week (4 or more), Company-sponsored training period in Umbertide, Italy upon hiring or shortly thereafter
    • Knowledge of stamping, laser robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics is highly preferred
    • Experience in using metrology equipment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
    • Strong planning/organization and time-management skills required
    • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience preferred
    • Working computer knowledge (Word/Excel/ PowerPoint/MS Office)
