    Are you interested in a position that supports the federal Judiciary's mission of ensuring equal justice under the law?  Do you thrive working in a team environment?  The Information Unit, U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit is seeking a talented Opinions/Dispositions Clerk to join our team.

    REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

    • Processes and files opinions and memoranda; reviews opinion manuscripts for completeness as to style, format, listing of judges and attorneys, printer's requirements, and other pertinent data; reviews docket for any pending motions, sealed materials and contacts authoring judge to resolve problems
    • Dockets decisions using Circuit's electronic casefile management system; determines the proper listing of report data on case initiations and terminations
    • Acts as liaison between judicial chambers/staff and publishing companies regarding publication data
    • Posts published decisions on the website

    REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS     

    Two years of progressively responsible legal work experience in the above representative duties and:

    • General knowledge of court procedures, practices, and the Ninth Circuit; ability to work independently or in a team environment; demonstrated, proactive, problem-solving approach; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to understand and apply established rules and procedures; and well organized with attention to detail
    • Bachelor's degree preferred

    TOTAL REWARDS AND WORK-LIFE BALANCE

    Salary*: Depending on qualifications and experience, $45,191 to $89,348 (CL24/25/26)
