     IMMEDIATE WAREHOUSE OPPORTUNITY! UNIFORM ADVANTAGE IS HIRING A TRAINING SPECIALIST.

    We're a growing company with a high demand for our products and services, so we're adding new positions! UA Brands' global operations are supported by our high-volume warehouse/distribution center located right outside of Atlanta, Georgia in Lithia Springs. The Training Specialist collaborates with CI, HR, and Operations teams to increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of employees in all key distribution center roles by designing and conducting training programs that are aligned to the company’s core values and goals. Working primarily with the CI team,  determine gaps in performance/operational excellence, and translates optimal process flows/best practices into actionable training resources. Develops training materials, facilitates training programs, and evaluates the effectiveness of training against program objectives, and provide recommendations for improvement. Facilitates/conducts supervisory/leadership and high potential development activities in coordination with Corporate HR.  Assists in the development and execution of safety programs/training for the facility.  Leads teams through influence and subject matter expertise. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with CI, Operations Leadership and Human Resources Team to design, develop, and deliver training content, training materials, training modules, and teaching aids, as needed; including coordinating training on facility-wide subjects.
    • Identify and assess the training needs of the warehouse through job analysis and operational process flows, review of safety needs, performance against standards, and consultation with managers.
    • Assess employees’ skills, talents, performance, and productivity and prepare written evaluations with advice for improvement.
    • Manage the technologies and technical personnel (through the "train the trainer" approach) required to develop, manage, and deliver training.
    • Support safety programming that enhances "safety culture".  Works with HR/LP on preventing/managing workplace injuries; assists with workers' comp related investigations/documentation/follow up; may assist employees with seeking treatment; evaluates/implements occupational health protocols and appropriate workplace ergonomics as necessary.
    • Report training activities and effectiveness (performance) to all stakeholders.
    • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with identified goals and uses established processes to meet outlined goals.
    • The measurement time period is typically over a year, but may include monthly and quarterly measures. 
    • Work is reviewed by management to measure the meeting of objectives.
    • Administers existing company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
    • Recommends changes to unit or sub-units policies.

    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Knowledge of adult learning theory and application.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements/laws and compliance/reporting related to OSHA, Workers Comp, general safety, and security provisions.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in HR/training, environmental health/occupational health, business or related field.
    • 5-7 years of direct experience in the warehouse industry with at least  3 years’ experience in developing and conducting training for all key distribution center job functions.
    • Demonstrated, detailed knowledge and have (5+years) experience in warehousing practices and procedures, including safety procedures, basic equipment operation, computer system skills, and inventory analysis.
    • Experience with the full training cycle-designing, delivering, evaluating, and assessing results-based training.
    • Demonstrated excellence related to accuracy and safety.
