UA LOCAL 469 IS LOOKING TO HIRE A FULL-TIME RECEPTIONIST FOR MEMBER SERVICES.
The ideal individual will have a strong background in customer/member service. The primary role for the Receptionist is to provide administrative support to the Union’s Members.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Greet Members in a friendly manner with good eye contact to make them feel welcome.
- Answer high volume of phone calls with a pleasant customer-friendly manner.
- Performing cashier functions for membership dues, receive and process payments, aid members in person, over the phone and/or online.
- Create new profiles and and/or updating new information to existing profiles and notifying the correct departments of any changes.
- Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft office and comfortable learning new computer programs and web applications.
- Provides business like and friendly greeting, registration, referrals, Intel background badging paperwork, and routing of lobby visitors.
- Performs data entry, receive and process documents into server, files paperwork, and scanning.
- Analyzing Information, attention to detail, confidentiality and contributes to team efforts.
- Excellent proofreading and verbal skills are required.
- Operates telephone console in an efficient, business-like, friendly, and effective manner, accurately routing calls.
- Update return mail.
- Provides accurate and timely administrative support for clerical staff, as needed.
- Proven time management skills that demonstrate an ability to organize; and manage multiple priorities in rapidly changing circumstances are essential.
- Ability to set priorities given general limitations and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain a professional manner when dealing with difficult situations.
- Dealing with complexity and a high comfort level working in a fast paced, diverse environment.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must demonstrate eligibility for employment in the U.S. Must have excellent customer relation skills. Must be computer literate with basic computer skills that are required to perform essential job-related duties. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Must have good organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to work with minimum supervision. Ensure consistent and efficient interaction with our members and demonstrates poise and tact under pressure to handle matters with sound judgement and confidentiality.
