    COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

     

     

    A Compliance Specialist at RFCU will monitor developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance requirements; advise Credit Union management of the operational impact of such trends and changes; develop appropriate revisions to disclosure forms, policies, procedures and processes.  They will also serve as a subject matter expert and provide assistance to Credit Union staff regarding regulatory or procedural issues affecting members and issues written decisions; review documents applicable to loan and share products and services.  They must stay abreast of all industry codes and standards, as well as all applicable Federal and NCUA laws and regulations regarding Credit Union operations. Conduct periodic compliance reviews including follow-ups of the Credit Union’s loan and share products and services to ensure they meet regulatory requirements 

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and three (3) years experience handling legal or regulatory compliance. (An equivalent of a combination of education and experience will be considered)

     

    The National Association of Federal Credit Unions or Credit Union National Association compliance certification must be obtained within one year of accepting position.

  • Qualifications

    Expert knowledge of applicable codes and standards

    Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills

    Strong Computer User Skills

    Ability to obtain a DOE “L” Clearance

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills

     

    Preference: Mechanical Engineer with a Welding background or a Welding Engineer with a Mechanical Design background
