This classification provides direct patient care under the supervision of the therapy manager and staff physical therapists, coordinates/cooperates with assigned supportive personnel, assists with discharge planning, documents pertinent information with physical therapist supervision, communicates verbally with staff, patients and families, participates in educational activities, supports departmental operations, performs special responsibilities/projects.  Supervises attendants and volunteers.  Responds to the unique needs of adult and geriatric patients as the need arises. 

Required Skills

Currently licensed by Alabama Board of Physical Therapy as LPTA, or willing to obtain license prior to employment.
