NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
UBMD Family Medicine seeking full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) for inpatient Withdrawal & Stabilization Unit at ECMC. Will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide treatment and stabilization of patients with substance use disorders with a focus on Medication Assisted Treatment and strategies for long-term recovery.
Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering diagnostics, managing and treating substance use disorders, and managing and treating a variety of comorbid medical conditions. Responsibilities are assigned based on the needs and acuity of the unit and total daily patient census, as well as discharges, admissions and consults. Will also support the attending physicians working on the unit, as needed.
Must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program, have current NYS license and BLS certification. Must have active DEA license. Experience in Family Medicine and/or Addictions preferred. ANP/FNP preferred. Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate excellent judgment and initiative during demanding situations. Monday through Friday day shift with required availability to work one weekend per month and weekday on call in rotation with other APP's.
Pay range includes base salary and incentive bonus paid quarterly for annual total of approximately $10,000 to $12,000 (on top of base salary ranging from $110k to $115k). Paid malpractice, 18 days of PTO per year (accrued biweekly), $1500 annual CME (pro-rated based on hire date for first year), 3% monthly retirement contribution by company, $75,000 in company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, as well as health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, options for voluntary short-term disability and long-term disability and 8 total holidays.
