HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000, commensurate with qualifications
THE DEPARTMENT
The mission of the UCSF/UC Hastings Consortium on Law, Science and Health Policy is to support interdisciplinary collaboration between faculty and students at UCSF and UC Hastings on a wide variety of subjects at the intersections of law, science, and health policy. The Consortium develops, implements, and supports initiatives in education, research, and clinical training and service.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Medical-Legal Partnership Network Fellow will assist the Executive Director of the UCSF/UC Hastings Consortium on Law, Science & Health Policy in development of a statewide medical-legal learning collaborative in California focusing on the health and legal rights and needs of people with cognitive impairment or dementia. The network will consist of legal aid partners, UC Health providers, and primary care providers serving Medi-Cal beneficiaries. The Fellow will be responsible for planning and coordinating meetings, convenings, and outreach of the legal arm of network, contributing to development of live and online trainings, conducting trainings for health care providers, and conducting research and writing related to the project. Research and writing will include, among other things, memos, scholarly papers, grant proposals, and reports. The Fellow must be able to successfully initiate and advance project work independently while being an integral part of a highly collaborative team. The position is fulltime with hybrid/remote options available. Note this position requires periodic in-person/onsite work and some travel in order to fulfill duties related to in-person meeting/convenings and trainings.
