    TEMPORARY DISABILITY RESOURCE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

    • Full Time or Part Time
    • Hybrid or Fully Remote
    • $30-48 / hour, commensurate with skills and experience

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Evaluate information from medical, psychological, rehabilitation, and educational sources to determine program eligibility.
    • Counsel/advise students and prospective students regarding program eligibility requirements.
    • Determine students' learning profiles and performance strengths/limitations and recommend appropriate learning strategies, assistive technologies, adaptive equipment, academic accommodations, classroom accommodations, test accommodations and other disability support services.
    • Provide supportive counseling to students regarding disability-symptom management.
    • Refer students to internal academic and support services.
    • Assist with the organization and proctoring of accommodated exams, including working closely with the Registrar's Office and Faculty Support
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree required; JD degree preferred.
    • At least 2 years experience counseling students and determining accommodations in a disability services department of a college or university

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Working knowledge of disability laws and regulations and current trends in higher education for students with disabilities including the ADA, Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
    • Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive technologies designed to remove or minimize the effects of barriers to equal access in higher education
    • Demonstrated understanding of disability issues among culturally diverse and international students.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, detail and service-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to interact diplomatically with diverse groups.
