Job Description

UCPM is seeking an Environmental Insurance Broker to support the organization through the development and maintenance of a specialty wholesale insurance book of business. The person filling this position will be responsible and accountable primarily for handling renewals of existing accounts and secondarily for business development with existing clients, and development of new retail agent relationships. The person filling this position will be required to ensure the organization’s goals for quality control and production are met, including completing documents, preparing quotes, filing and maintaining records, working with underwriters and insurance agents in a professional manner.

DUTIES:

• Maintains a book of business of up to $350,000 comprised of approximately 80% Renewal Business and 20% New Business
• Completes documents by determining priority and format; verifying, entering, and proofreading data.
• Provides business information and resolves problems by answering agents' questions and concerns.
• Keeps customers informed by providing quotes, market information, and published analyses; verifying account data.
• Maintains and retrieves records by filing policies and endorsements.
• Forward business information by sorting and distributing documents and messages; preparing information.
• Maintains quality results by following standards.
• Enhances business department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Ability to close deals
• Ability to self-motivate
• Required to maintain knowledge of and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
• Other essential functions of the job may be assigned by executive management

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in sales & marketing of insurance is not required, but is preferred. A Property & Casualty Insurance License as applicable in the states where the person will be marketing & placing insurance policies. Administrative Writing Skills, Organization, Analyzing Information, Business Knowledge, Communication Processes, Informing Others, Phone Skills, Computer & General Microsoft Software Management, Multi-tasking, Customer Service, Thoroughness, General Math and Analytical Skills, Attention to Detail, Results Oriented. Must be in Phoenix area
