Specialty Nurse Intern - Operating Room (OR) (3 days per week) - Chicago, ILJob DescriptionIn conjunction with the University of Chicago Medicine’s mission to provide superior health care, the mission of the Specialty Nurse Intern is a nursing student who provides patient care in specialty areas under the direction of a registered nurse. The Advanced Nurse Extern provides care to patients and their families by assuming defined patient care responsibilities and by performing specific clinical skills appropriate to the role. In this year-round internship, students will be matched with the Operating Room (OR) for the duration of the academic program. We are looking for candidates that have a passion to work for UChicago and specifically, the Operating Room! Following the summer, the expectation is that the internship will continue throughout the year. The schedule will be flexible to work with your school schedule.
