    This position will serve as a key day-to-day contributor for the organization while reporting directly to the Senior Accountant..

    This is a hands-on role that will oversee daily accounting processes, internal and external financial reporting. Responsibilities with include general accounting such as the development of operating statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, general ledgers, budget-to-actual comparisons and other ad-hoc responsibilities for multiple entities and general supervision of staff to accomplish these tasks.

    Qualified candidates will have experience in multi-location management, financial and operational reporting, variance analysis, a high level of ability with spreadsheets and other analytical tools, and a strong desire to succeed. This is a “hands-on” position with an accounting staff of one.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Development, implementation, and documentation of improved accounting processes.

    · Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

    · Prepare and review weekly cashflow reporting.

    · Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.

    · Reviewing journal entries of accountants to ensure accuracy.

    · Training and mentoring of staff/senior accountants.

    · Performing variance analyses and preparing monthly account reconciliations.

    · Ensure compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.

    · Collaborate and coordinate with other departments to implement and improve processes aimed at reduce reporting time.

    · Coordination of more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other corporate departments.

    · Work with cross-functional departments including Sales and Operations to improve visibility into operating results.

    · Consistently review accounting procedures and suggest ideas to improve processes.

    ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

    The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and will work cross functionally with all members of the Accounting and Finance team. This position will also partner closely with other business leaders.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge, skills & abilities:

    · Thorough and proven understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.

    · Multi-location management experience.

    · Strong analytical and accounting skills.

    · Microsoft Excel skills to include: VLookup, pivot tables, external linking.

    · Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting. Great Plains experience preferred.

    · Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of complexity.

    · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to demonstrate and maintain a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude. Able to have fun while getting their work done.

    · Communicates clearly and concisely.

    · Experience supervising two or more direct reports.

    · Possesses strong organizational skills. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.

    · Highest level of honesty and integrity.

    Required Experience:

    · B.S. in Business, Accounting or Finance

    · 7-10 years accounting experience required with increasing level of responsibilities throughout career.

    · Combination of public accounting and industry experience is ideal.

    · CPA preferred but not required.

    · Excellent PC skills, Microsoft and advanced Excel highly desired. Knowledge of Great Plains application a plus

    · Strong time management and organizational skills.

    Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple moving parts.

    Physical Requirements:

    · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours. The employee occasionally sits, walks, kneels and reaches with hands and arms.

    · Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
