About this role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that align with our brand, marketing, and communication goals, with a deep understanding of the social media and online community building space. This is a full-time position that requires the candidate to be highly organized, creative, and have excellent communication skills, including strong English writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute real-time organic engagement, social media strategies, and campaigns that support the brand, marketing, and communication goals.
- Monitor and manage social media accounts daily, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, with a focus on real-time monitoring, engagement, and interaction.
- Create compelling and engaging content, such as photos, videos, and graphics, that align with the brand's voice, messaging, and deep tech understanding.
- Respond to comments, messages, and reviews on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner, with a deep understanding of tech industry trends and developments.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track performance, optimize campaigns, and report results to the team in real-time.
- Manage internal communication channels, such as email newsletters, company updates, and employee announcements (where necessary)
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure social media content aligns with overall business goals.
- Support the head of Lead Generation on paid social media campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and revenue.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in social media management or brand management.
- 4+ years of experience in managing social media platforms in a professional setting (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and/or Reddit).
- 2+ years of experience creating successful social media campaigns that drove engagement and revenue.
- 1+ years of experience with real-time social media management and analytics tools, such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Google Analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong English writing and editing skills with the ability to create engaging social media friendly content that demonstrates deep understanding of the social media space and how to drive traction to, and with, content using optimized hash tagging, SEO, various content formats and messaging techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on moving timeously.
- Experience in internal communications and social media lead generation.
- Bilingual is a plus!
