Role Summary The UI/UX Designer leads the creation of intuitive, accessible, and mission-aligned user experiences for the BATS application, ensuring compliance with the SPARTAN UI/UX Style Guide and Section 508 standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Adobe XD that reflect SPARTAN design system.
Conduct user research, create personas, and map investigative workflows for A&E professionals.
Design responsive, browser-agnostic interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile use.
Perform iterative usability testing and incorporate feedback from USBDC users and stakeholders.
Ensure full Section 508 compliance (accessibility scans in CI/CD).
Collaborate closely with developers to translate designs into functional, pixel-perfect implementations.
Maintain and evolve the design system throughout modernization and post-production.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of UI/UX design experience for complex web applications.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe XD and modern design tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing for law enforcement or data-intensive investigative systems.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design outcomes.
Clearance/Suitability Must successfully complete ATF personnel security process.
