    Job Description

    Process information and documents from other departments for filing.  The primary responsibility is to classify, store, and maintain records according to the organizational system of the office. The file clerk will not only manage the physical copies of document filing, there are other duties that are needed to be done on the computer. This individual will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook . Other employees rely on file clerks to assist in finding necessary paperwork for various projects.  The file clerk will need to be discreet, as there are files that are sensitive in nature due to the information within the file.  Team player, able to work well with others without drama or tension. Able to follow direction correctly within the department. Another key role and importance for the file clerk is to have experience and willingness to assist with phones. We have a multiline phone system and the file clerks is the relief for the receptionist’s breaks and lunches. So being comfortable assisting with phones is extremely important.
