Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vascular Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations to evaluate blood flow and vascular health. This vital role provides accurate diagnostic information to support physicians in developing effective treatment plans for patients with vascular conditions. Working in a dynamic environment, possibly within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, the successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and ultrasound technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams, including Doppler studies, to assess arterial and venous systems.
Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret findings and aid in patient management.
Maintain precise documentation of procedures, results, and patient records.
Ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, troubleshooting and performing routine checks as needed.
Educate patients on procedures, addressing questions and alleviating concerns.
Follow strict safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Keep abreast of advancements in vascular imaging technology through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in cardiology, radiology, or vascular departments.
Proficiency in vascular sonography techniques, including Doppler ultrasound.
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and vital signs assessment is a plus.
Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and medical terminology.
Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
