    Job Summary: PROVIDES DIRECT PATIENT CARE BY ASSISTING PATIENTS WITH CHANGING LINENS, AMBULATION, AND TRANSPORT. MAINTAINS A CLEAN AND ORDERLY PATIENT CARE ENVIRONMENT. AS

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Position report to clinical

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.

    • Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for peri-operative nursing care according to accepted standards.

    • Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge in aseptic technique.

    • Demonstrates ability to understand the unique needs of each age group of the patient population.

    • Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.

    • Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior.

    • Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.

    • Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.

    • Able to take vital signs and apply V/S monitors and documents appropriately.

    • Informs Manager of applicable day-to-day situations.

    • Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.

     

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, current CPR. Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Valid medical card as prescribed by Federal Motor Carrier Administration
    • Valid Class A commercial drivers’ license required.

     

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:       

    • Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and mandates.
    • Pallet jack experience preferred
    • Knowledge of the on board computer system for truck tracking and handheld delivery device for proof of delivery

     

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of two years commercial driving experience.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Only one moving violation is permissible on 3 year DMV record 
    • System implementation experience is preferred

    • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
