  • Responsibilities

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current CA Nursing License
    • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
    • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
    • Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordingly
    • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
    • Excellent teaching skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
    • Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    • Associates degree or equivalent experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform duties

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • One year of experience in an office environment or data entry role preferred
    • System Implementation Preferred

     

    KNOWLEDGE:           

    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
    • Knowledge of customer service

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Strong administrative skills including attention to detail, organization in a fast paced corporate environment
    • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with internal departments and customers
    • Ability to communicate precise information to customers relating to their account
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and develop relationships with internal departments to resolve disputes and outstanding issues quickly
    • Self-starter who takes initiative
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
