A technologically advanced social media outlet, a social network, that aims to do away with ideological censorship, and allow for freedom of expression in political and social issues is looking for a manager. The media outlet will allow for political commentary, journalism, polls, etc.

This role could be filled by one of:

1)            Intern, to qualify for a paid intern and then to qualify for paid employee

Academic background, and, or interests and, or some experience (internship or commercial) in media, journalism, political science, social studies, government, economics, world affairs, geopolitical issues. Interests in entrepreneurship, leadership, building teams.

2)            Early career experienced professional. A few years of experience.

Experience in any or a few of media, building teams, startups, writing, journalism, the items from the above point

3)            Experienced professional: 3 or more years of commercial experience in media, building teams, startups, writing, journalism, the items from the paragraphs above.

The intern level is part to full time and the others are full time.

We are a brand-new startup company looking to add employee number one. The current members of the team are the investors / owners, advisory board and technology team. The successful candidate will be the first employee that will have as only / main job the management of the outlet, reporting to the investors / owners and the advisory board.

The candidate must have a strong academic background. Discipline, inventiveness, and analytical skills are traits that will help you succeed on this role. You need to be able to start from scratch and work hard. You will be involved in social media, politics, journalism, publishing, business development. You will be constantly challenged.

Here are some of the responsibilities: Conduct polls for various political and social issues. Build a team of topic blog writers for creating the content, development, marketing, production, and distribution of that content. Collect, analyze, verify, and present  information regarding current events, trends, issues, and people. Participate in the team efforts of creating an online social media and social networking  and publishing website, identify political, social issues for discussion, follow daily local and international news, work together with the IT development team, create a strategy for growth and marketing.

You have to help the investors/owners drive the organization from start through growth as a vibrant digital social media outlet.
