    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for effectively managing the staff, systems, processes and services in Card Services for UNIFY Financial Credit Union’s Card Portfolio, in order to maximize member service, support profitability and mitigate losses through effective controls.

    This position may be eligible for remote work.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages daily workflow and allocates resources as needed. Designs and monitors effective processes for completing card maintenance, card re-issues, claims and disputes, excessive withdrawals, travel memos, alerts and other tier-2 support services.
    • Resolves complex issues, establishes work priorities and makes actionable decisions within established organizational guidelines, budget, and/or authorities.
    • Establishes formalized and documented processes of communicating Credit Union business changes, project updates, deliverables status and systems issues to the Card Services and member support teams, in order to help equip them to delivery exceptional member support.
    • Ensures Compromised Account Management System (CAMS) Alerts are logged and monitored, and all appropriate actions are taken, to minimize losses, and to block and reissue cards to prevent further card fraud.
    • Ensures fraud files are prepared in an accurate and timely manner, and submitted to Insurance Administrator.
    • Ensures all VISA rules and regulations to process chargebacks, fraud and disputes are completed as required and per requirements.
    • Works pro-actively and in partnership with third-party vendors, including MAP, Visa DPS, and CPI, in order to achieve department goals.
    • Effectively manages departmental and inter-departmental projects as needed, including new product implementation, mergers, and compliance updates.
    • Ensures that the department's needs are met in regards to the payroll, employment, counseling, performance evaluations, performance goals, allocating resources, training, motivation, staff meetings and discipline of assigned team members, with the goal of creating and maintaining a high-performance member-focused team.
    • Ensures full compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures, PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), the Bank Secrecy Act, and other applicable consumer, federal and banking regulations.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred; with a minimum of five years of related experience, and two years supervisory experience, preferably in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Requires thorough knowledge of card processing systems and payment card concepts. Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks successfully, and to address complex situations independently.
    • Must possess strong team member/member service philosophy, and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience with current card issuance systems and with payment card processing preferred.
