UNION Point of Sale is looking for a senior UX designer to lead efforts in crafting new and intuitive solutions for our customers. Our product makes bars and restaurants smarter, faster, and more profitable by providing them with the best point of sale system ever created the hospitality industry.

Paired with the point of sale system is a web-based manager portal where bar and restaurant staff can view a snapshot of their business, manage inventory, edit menus, adjust employee permissions, and run detailed reports. We are looking to rebuild our portal from the ground-up, with a deep focus on optimizing for a range of different personas and environments that we serve in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough hospitality industry analysis and generate user personas

Create and present wireframes, mockups, specifications, process flows, personas, and prototypes for our web and mobile applications

Collaborate directly with key stakeholders and users, and be comfortable showing work-in-progress layouts to the team and others

Collaborate with product team to create high-fidelity prototypes of applications

Suggest measurements to optimize for and run A/B testing

Competencies

Technical mastery of Sketch, InVision, Adobe Suite, and other UX design software

Extensive experience documenting industry research and user personas

Ability to create and articulate on wireframes and flow diagrams

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to make design documentation, internal and client-facing presentations

Estimate effort, plan schedules and manage time effectively

Familiarity with HTML & CSS
