Job Description
The Vice President, Social will be responsible for paid social media strategy, planning, and activation oversight. They will be the lead and primary point of contact of the social practice to key clients and internal stakeholders. Please note: THIS ROLE REQUIRES A PAID SOCIAL OR DIGITAL MEDIA PLANNING & BUYING BACKGROUND.
ROLE OBJECTIVES:
Lead a premier client’s social business, responsible for all aspects of ensuring social planning and buying execution excellence
Lead forward-thinking paid social initiatives for client, ensuring team is incorporating media creativity and innovation into media plan development and execution
Participate in holistic planning sessions regarding client overarching strategy and approach, providing leadership, consultation and acting as a voice for social media
Establish and grow relationships with senior media clients, as well as be a key collaborator with social channel contacts and internal agency partners
Seek out and work with team to identify the development and documentation of paid social best practices to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the group
Enjoy being a key partner to social media publishers and partners with an eye to identifying client innovation opportunities
Engage in collaborative planning with digital and offline agency partners to ensure holistic strategic approach
Ensure social initiatives are executed and managed to deliver and exceed client objectives
Uncover opportunities and grow business through thought leadership, account expertise, and consistent delivery of excellent work
Steward client interest in the areas of tracking and delivering measurable social results and analytics, market knowledge, and audience insights
Stay apprised of new technologies and trends and have a keen understanding of social landscape to incorporate into media-driven solutions and business building ideas
Manage and mentor a team of 15 paid social media experts, from Director to Associate
Provide leadership/motivation and convey the vision and values of the agency to media staff
Critique, conduct reviews, and performance evaluation of media team to ensure that effective, efficient and profitable staff operations are maintained; work closely with Media Directors and Supervisors to provide mentorship and guidance to the team
Embody Publicis Groupe values and cultivate among the team
Manage workflow, efficient and profitable servicing of client(s), staffing levels, foster healthy team structure, and team assignments
Craft knowledgeable, relevant, and proactive POVs that assess media opportunities and place appropriate value
Partner with internal UNIT3C leadership team in stewarding key areas of the business, such as operations, finance, innovation, and overall team growth and culture
Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field. MBA a plus.
10+ years of digital media buying/planning experience
Experience overseeing social campaign development and ability to confidently present and influence clients both virtually and in-person
Confidence and guidance in Business and Ad Managers across all major social channels (Meta, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat)
Must have excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and follow-though skills. This role requires a persistent, confident, relationship-builder
Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
Growth mindset and commercial knowledge-base
Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
Must possess/develop and have an interest in the social technology marketplace including awareness of key publishers, products and trends
Streaming Entertainment and/or Gaming vertical experience, a plus
Must be located in Los Angeles, CA

Senior Vice President, Social
Manage a team of up to 15 people

Compensation Range: $143,000- $211,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
