Procurement Analyst

United Rotary Brush is a Lenexa, Kansas based manufacturer of specialty industrial brushes for the airport, road construction, street sweeping and plowing industries. Our Lenexa, KS, manufacturing facility ( **off I-435 & Lackman Road) ****** is looking for a Procurement Analyst that has the desire to help grow the company and focus on a quality-minded work environment. Procurement Analyst Job Summary

The Procurement Analyst is instrumental in determining supply needs; researching potential suppliers and supply market dynamics; and administering purchase orders and contracts. Oversees suppliers, test product samples, and document features and benefits of assigned products and services. The incumbent prepares cost-benefit analysis reports for management review and negotiates favorable contracts with selected vendors or suppliers. Provides monthly supply cost progress reports to management and teams and monitors demand for products to avoid supply disruption and excess inventory. Demonstrates a working knowledge of vendor and supplier-related updates and industry activities.

Procurement Analyst Job Experience

• Minimum of 2-4 years procurement or materials management experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years ERP/MRP working knowledge required. Infor VISUAL ERP experience, preferred.

Procurement Analyst Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent Microsoft EXCEL skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to organize facts and prioritize, while working independently and in a team environment

• Excellent skills in working with materials management (purchasing, inventory control, material planning) software, and a solid understanding of materials planning (MRP) principles.

• Commodity Spend management and sourcing, preferred.

Procurement Analyst Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain purchase orders for assigned material numbers for business partners in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Examine purchase orders to ensure that all terms, conditions, quantities, shipping guidelines, etc. are following company policies.
• Minimize inventory to reduce assets and maintain a high level of serviceability with levels of turn rates at established objectives.
• Enter and release purchase orders and reschedule existing orders for stocked materials based on “action messages” or “supplier schedules” as prescribed by the material planning process.
• Work with Sourcing, Quality and business partners to resolve discrepancies in material quality with suppliers.
• Engages with operations, planning and inventory control ensure appropriate material supply chains are established and ordering levels.
• Evaluate and monitor materials inventory to ensure availability of inventory for assigned material numbers.
• Conduct market research and analysis to find potential suppliers who could meet needs.
• Serve as a liaison and inform suppliers and vendors about pricing and performance requirements.
• Prepare reports on cost-benefit analysis for managers to evaluate.
• Keep up with developments in the industry involving vendors and suppliers.

Procurement Analyst Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, finance, related field required. Emphasis with Operations Management, Supply Chain Management is preferred.

*Note: A $500.00 retention bonus will be paid to those eligible participants who are hired while the program is in effect and attain 3 months of continuous employment with United Rotary Brush in their current qualified position. Eligible participants who are hired while the program is in effect and attain 6 months of continuous employment in their current qualified position will receive another $500.00 bonus. The bonuses are subject to all applicable taxes. Details of this program will be discussed at time of hire.
